The Master Cleanse diet has gained a lot of attention because so many people have done it successfully. From everyday people to the biggest celebrities, this is a diet that attracts a variety of different people. The attraction lies within the unique ingredients and the way it can clean out the body so well. Whether you want to lose weight or just clean out your system, the Master Cleanse diet can help you out considerably.
If you are planning on starting the Master Cleanse, then you should first know that the Master diet is something that is more of an experience. While on the Master Cleanse, you will be able to kick cravings for bad food, learn about your body and reset your appetite for the better. There are a lot of things you need to know before getting started on this diet, so research is important before you take your first sip.
What is this diet?
The Master Cleanse is not really a “diet”, as it’s more of something that you use to clean out your entire body. When doing the “diet” you will be drinking a lemonade beverage that you prepare throughout the day. In addition to this, you will be doing salt water flushes that will rid your system of toxic waste. One of the downsides is that you will not be eating food, but this is something you will get used to after a few days (seriously!).
Why do the Master Cleanse?
A lot of people don’t understand why they would stop eating to clean out their body, but that is only because they don’t understand it. During the day you eat food with chemicals and toxins in it, you breathe air with pollution in it and you consume beverages with chemicals in it. All of these things build up in your body, no matter how healthy you try to be. The toxins from these chemicals are not only in your colon and digestive system; they are also in your kidneys and your bloodstream.
When you do the Master lemonade and the salt water flushes they will get rid of all of that toxic waste from your body. Will you go to the bathroom a lot? Yes. Will you feel lighter and more energetic, despite not eating? Yes. You will have to sacrifice food for the time you do the Master Cleanse diet, but it gives your body a chance to get rid of a lot of waste without putting new waste inside of it.
Each day you will need to drink 8-12 glasses of the lemonade, which you will prepare. More beverages can be consumed if you would like, but that is completely up to you. You will have to drink this for the number of days that you decided to do the diet, which could be anywhere from 7 to 30 or more days.
Master Cleanse Lemonade:
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed )
- 8 ounces purified H2O
- 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1-2 tablespoons pure grade B maple syrup
The lemons are filled with vitamin c and will help flush toxins out of your system. The cayenne pepper also helps get rid of toxins, including those in your blood stream. The grade B maple syrup has vitamin c and calories necessary to keep your body functioning as necessary. Each of these ingredients have a part in your Master Cleanse and are necessary to have in the recipe.
Salt Water Flush Recipe
A salt water flush is basically just like what it sounds; it’s a salt water drink that flushes waste out of your body. This is an oral enema that will cause you to go to the bathroom a lot, so staying close to a bathroom is important. You will do this flush each morning you wake up while you are on the Master Cleanse program.
Salt Water Flush:
- 1-2 teaspoons uniodized sea salt
- 1 liter lukewarm purified H2O
Try to swallow this as fast as you can, as it does not taste very good. You also have to finish the entire thing in order for it to work like it should. After about an hour you should have eliminations that clear out your digestive tract and colon.
Finishing the Master Cleanse
When you’re ready to stop the Master Cleanse, you have to come off of it the right way in order to stay successful. Here’s a quick guide to make it simple.
Day 1 – Drink 4 ounces of orange juice mixed with 4 ounces of water. If you feel fine then you can continue with more diluted orange juice throughout the day.
Day 2 – Drink more orange juice along with water, but you don’t have to dilute it if you are feeling fine. You can also have vegetable broth along with root vegetables if you feel up to it.
Day 3 – Drink orange juice, vegetables, broth and more vegetables.
Day 4 – Have orange juice in the morning and then enjoy seeds or vegetables for lunch. For dinner you can have salad or some fruit.
Day 5 – Eat how you normally would, BUT, do not eat junk food, processed foods or any other heavy foods that would be hard for your system to process. Keep it light until you are ready to go into a healthier diet for living.
